I’m confused, what’s GPT, chatGPT, Whisper and the rest ?
When it comes to AI these days, it can be difficult to keep up with all of the different types that are out there. Some of them are called GPT, chatGPT, whisper and other variations, but heck, what does that all mean?
Let’s start with GPT. This stands for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer.” In short, GPT is an AI system that uses natural language processing to understand and interact with humans. Essentially, it has been trained on large amounts of data such as books, articles, and conversations, and can then use this data to generate relevant responses to user-input questions.
ChatGPT and whisper are different, though. These are specific applications of GPT. ChatGPT is designed to mimic conversations, while whisper is focused more on writing content such as sentences and paragraphs. It follows the same concept as GPT – but its applications are more specialized.
So there you have it — GPT, chatGPT, and whisper are all related to AI, but they are different in purpose. While GPT helps you to understand natural language, chatGPT and whisper are used for more specific tasks such as having conversations and writing content. Now that you know the difference, you can choose the AI system that best meets your needs.
For example, I was written using OpenAI GTP with the text-davinci-003 model
